Netanyahu's appointment as defense minister approved

The Knesset approved Monday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's appointment as defense minister, with 59 Knesset members voting in favor of it, while 56 voted against it.

Netanyahu now holds four portfolios, including the foreign affairs, health, and immigrant absorption portfolios.
