Eisenkot: Iran wanted army of 100,000 fighters in Syria

IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot said Sunday that Israel has been working independently for years in Syria in order to undermine the Iranians from establishing a military presence in the area.
"The Iranians had a vision where they had 100,000 fighters … navy and intelligence capabilities … and a line of outposts on the Golan Heights," he stressed.
