Report: Trump to allow months for US troops' withdrawal

US President Donald Trump has agreed to give US military about four months —instead of the 30 days he allocated two weeks ago— to withdraw the 2,000 US troops stationed in Syria, the New York Times reported Monday.
A senior Israeli official said Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had asked Trump for a gradual withdrawal and was told his request will be considered.
Indeed, Trump confirmed on Twitter Monday that US troops would “slowly” be withdrawn. “ISIS is mostly gone, we’re slowly sending our troops back home to be with their families, while at the same time fighting ISIS remnants,” the American president said on Twitter.
