Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday he "will not interfere in how the Left divides its votes.
"The Right forming the next government, continuing leading Israel is the only thing that matters," the premier said.
Earlier, Labor Party leader Avi Gabbay announced he is splitting from the main left-wing alliance, dropping Tzipi Livni's HaTnuah, effectively dismantling the Zionist Union faction made up of both of their parties.
