Rouhani: ‘Palestinians will only win rights if they fight Israel’

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani met with Islamic Jihad leader Ziad Nahala on Tuesday, and said that “the only way for the oppressed Palestinians to get their rights is to fight Israel, who despite the Madrid on Oslo accords did not acknowledge the Palestinian people's rights.”

Nahala said Iranian support is of great importance and that “Iran’s stand and support play a key role in our efforts to win our rights.” He added that “efforts and attacks coming from Israel and the U.S.—what they call ‘the deal of the century’—are meant to close the Palestinian case.”
