Gabbay appoints Shelly Yachimovich as head of the opposition

Labor Party head Avi Gabbay appointed MK Shelly Yachimovich as head of the opposition on Tuesday evening, after he ended the Labor’s partnership with Hatnuah Party earlier that day.
“I’m proud of Shelly, she is an excellent MK who leads admirable causes in the Knesset and outside the Knesset. She is an example of a public servant who is determined to make a change,” Gabbay said after he announced the appointment.
