Magistrate's Court judge takes leave of absence due to judicial appointment scandal

The Magistrate's Court judge, whose name has been linked to the investigation of alleged ethical offenses in connection with the appointments of judges, had taken a “leave of absence” on Wednesday for the remainder of the investigation.

Earlier Wednesday, it was reported that Israel Bar Association Chairman Effi Naveh is the main suspect in the case.

Naveh is suspected of bribery and breach of trust. The police asked to extend his remand by three days.
