Protesters demand life sentence for man suspected of murdering Israeli student in Australia
Hundreds of people are demonstrating Saturday in the Arab city of Baqa al-Gharbiyye, following the murder of local Aiia Maasarwe who was murdered last Wednesday near Melbourne, Australia.
The participants of the demonstration, organized by the Sulha Committee (a committee for traditional conflict mediation), condemn the heinous act and demand life imprisonment for the defendant.
Earlier Saturday, the defendant, Cody Herrmann, was charged with murder and rape.
