Tiberias mayor approves public transit on Shabbat

The recently elected mayor of Tiberias Ran Kuby announced that his city will operate public transportation on Shabbat in conjunction with the Noa Tanoa organization (a non-profit seeking to advance transit on weekends). The bus will run to the city’s Kinneret coast where activities, sponsored by the municipality, are held.
