The Jordanian ambassador to Israel submitted a complaint to the Foreign Ministry over the detention and interrogation of the director of the Jerusalem Waqf, Sheikh Abed al-Azim Salhab and his deputy Sheikh Najakh Baqirat. Jordan sees itself as responsible for the Al Aqsa Mosque complex.
