Police back bribery charges for former Likud coalition chair David Bitan

Police are recommending bribery charges against former Likud chairman, MK David Bitan.

The recommendation cites, among things, alleged corruption during his time as deputy mayor of the central town of Rishon Lezion, when he is accused of taking money in order to pay off his debts.

Bitan quit as party chair in 2017 due to the police investigation into his activities.
