Large-scale fire breaks out east of Tel Aviv, spreads to forested area

A large-scale fire broke out Thursday in the city of Elad, some 25 kilometres (16 miles) east of Tel Aviv, and has spread to the nearby forest.

Firefighting planes, 22 fire trucks and 35 firefighters arrived at the scene in order to gain control of the flames.
