Jerusalem chief rabbi Aryeh Stern requested of mayor Moshe Lion that gay pride flags not be flown ahead of the pride parade scheduled for next Thursday. Earlier, Haredi city councilmen prevented the approval for the NIS 475,000 budget of the Open House, the city's LGBT center.
