Evacuations, roads closed as brush fire breaks out near entrance to Jerusalem

Fire firefighting crews were battling to control a brush fire that broke out Tuesday near the main western entrance to Jerusalem.

Police said they were evacuating residents and buildings in the area closest to the fire.

Southbound lanes on Begin Road in Jerusalem were closed to traffic due to heavy smoke.
