Jordan's King Abdullah called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to to coordinate their positions and to discuss the latest developments in the region pertaining to the Palestinian Israeli conflict.
According to Jordan's official news agency Petra, the king assured the Palestinian leader that Jordan stands by the Palestinians in their efforts to secure their national rights and establish an independent Palestinian State within the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
