U.S. Ambassador David Friedman participated in an event organized by the right-wing City of David organization to unveil an archeological site known as "Pilgrims' Road".
This is the first time an official representative of the administration is attending such an event with participation of ministers from the Israeli government, in a mostly Moslem quarter of East Jerusalem, prompting protests from Israeli left wing demonstrators.
In his speach Friedman said: "Whether there was ever any doubt of the propriety and accuracy...of President Trump recognizing Jerusalem, I think this lays it to rest."
