Some 1,000 protest in north over death of young Ethiopian Israeli by off-duty cop

Around 1,000 people are protesting in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Ata in northern Israel over the killing of an Ethiopian Israeli teenager by an off duty police officer.

Solomon Teka, 19, was shot dead Sunday night by the policeman who said he felt his life was in danger as he tried to break up a street brawl.
