A lawyer of the police officer who fatally shot an Ethiopian teenager on Sunday, sparking massive riots across the country, said his client was acting in self-defense and wasn’t motivated by prejudiced views.
"My client found himself in clear and present danger. Had he not acted the way he did, my client might not have survived the ordeal,” Yair Nedshi said on Sunday evening. “It should be emphasized the tragic event has nothing to do with the victim’s skin color.”
