Erdan: 'violent policemen shouldn't be in our ranks'

Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan said Tuesday in a ceremony to introduce the Israel Police's new Northern Region Chief that policemen who can't restrain themselves don't belong in the organization.
"Freedom of protest ha its limits. It doesn’t mean that there are no policemen who use their power the wrong way, and we have to take care of them," said the minister.
"A violent policeman who doesn’t know how to show restraint shouldn't remain in the police," the minister added.
