Health Ministry warns of major heat wave to strike Wednesday
The Health Ministry warned Tuesday of an expected heat wave to strike the entire country on Wednesday, with temperatures likely to reach more than 40 C (104 F) in several areas.
"We call on the public, especially elderly people and those who suffer from chronic illnesses, to avoid sun and heat exposure and unnecessary physical efforts," said the statement, and added that people should remain in air-conditioned spaces and drink plenty of water.
