Nurses' strike ends as court orders mediation

The nationwide strike by nurses comes to an end with an order by the Labor Court for the nurses' union and the state to begin mediation over working conditions and pay.

The ruling does however give the nurses the option of continuing industrial action, such as declining to carry out certain tasks, and the Health Ministry the right to cut salaries.
