Shaffir: 'Labor is my home, but the house is burning'

MK Stav Shaffir said Thursday during a press conference announcing the union between the Democratic Israel and Meretz parties that she left the Labor Party to join the new list since her political home "was burning."
"Labor is my ideological home, but the house is burning, and when that happens you go outside to extinguish the flames and built it again," Shaffir said.
"I'm very proud of my partners, they are leaders who have made an enormous effort so that we can achieve this," Shaffir said.
