Iran-backed Iraq paramilitary groups blame U.S., Israel for blasts
Iraq's mostly Iran-backed paramilitary groups blame blasts at its weapons depots and bases on the United States and Israel, in a statement released Wednesday.
The statement from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), the umbrella grouping of Iraq's paramilitary groups, said the United States had allowed four Israeli drones to enter the region accompanying U.S. forces and carry out missions on Iraqi territory.
It said it would defend itself against any attacks on paramilitary bases, including using "advanced weaponry," without elaborating.
