A projectile - believed to be a mortar shell - is fired at Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip.
It is unclear whether the mortar landed inside Israel or Gaza.
The IDF says air raid sirens only sounded in open areas close to the border as there had been no threat to civilian population centers.
