Senior Fatah officials says issue of energy debt with Israel resolved
Palestinian Civil Affairs Minister Hussein al-Sheikh, a senior Fatah member, said Thursday the Palestinian Authority and Israel have agreed on the terms of how PA’s energy debts will be resolved.
However, he made it clear that the agreement doesn’t imply the financial crisis in the PA is over. "Israel still holds billions of shekels of PA's funds,” he said.
