Central Election Committee bans fiming at polling stations in September vote
None
The Central Elections Committee bans parties from filming polling stations during the Knesset elections on September 17.
The committee chairman, Justice Hanan Meltzer, also orders the establishment of a unit to monitor poll purity.
Likud is now considering the possibility of enacting a new law that will allow filming, even before the elections. Such legislation would be possible with the parties' broad agreement, and Likud has already begun to explore this option.
