The man behind the planned drone attack on Israel, thwarted by an Israeli attack in Syria earlier this week, is the Iranian General Joad Rafari, who is under the direct command of General Qasem Soleimani, head of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Rafari is the head of Iranian forces in Syria and leads its efforts to entrench itself around the war-torn country.
