Teaching, Treasury officials to begin negotiations in bid to avert school strike

Teachers and the Treasury will enter into negotiations on the various issues in their dispute that threatens to delay the start of the Israeli school year and report its results on Friday at 9 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Tel Aviv Regional Labor Court ordered a hearing on the state's request for a restraining order against the Teachers' Union, which threatening a strike in kindergarten, elementary and middle schools.
