Acclaimed Israeli actor Shlomo Bar-Shavit dies at 90

Award-winning Israeli actor Shlomo Bar-Shavit died Sunday in Tel Aviv at the age of 90, after a respiratory illness.
"He devoured life," said his daughter Aya. "A strong, smart, funny, humble man, he did his job faithfully, not for fame or for money but for self-fulfillment."
Bar-Shavit appeared in hundreds of plays and musicals, including Peer Gynt, Irma la Douce, Casablanca, Fiddler on the Roof, King Lear, My Fair Lady and Richard III.
