Report: Trump considering $15 billion credit line to Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump is believed to be considering allowing France to give Iran credit to the sum of $15 billion on the condition that it respects its commitments to the Iranian nuclear deal brokered by his predecessor Barack Obama.

According to the Daily Beast, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is also open to the proposal, which would also see the latest punishing U.S. sanctions against Iran eased.

The credit would be guaranteed by Iranian oil.
