The police say private security guards at a checkpoint near Jerusalem shot and killed a Palestinian woman after she pulled out a knife at the crossing.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says the woman was taken to a hospital where she died of her wounds, adding that Wednesday's incident at the Qalandia checkpoint "is being looked into."
