AG: No legal impediment for Netanyahu to be given mandate to form new government

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblitt reiterates there is no legal impediment for President Reuven Rivlin to assign Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a mandate for form the next coalition.

Mandelblitt's opinion came after the president asked for clarifications regarding a technicality regarding the legal status of Netanyahu as a member of Knesset being tasked with forming a government.
