Hamas slams Joint List over Gantz backing

Hamas has come out against the backing of Blue and White leader Benny Gantz by the Arab-dominated Joint List party, according to a report by the public broadcaster KAN on Monday.
"It is surprising that some of our people would support a Zionist party," said Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesman in Gaza.
"It is unfortunate that in order to overthrow Netanyahu, they clear the way for Gantz," said Mohammed Nazzal, a leader of the Hamas political wing.
