FM Katz meets Russian FM Lavrov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly

Foreign Minister Israel Katz met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov late Wednesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

According to a statement by the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem the two men discussed the situation in the Middle East.

Katz reiterated Israel's concerns over the threat posed by Iran to the region.

The minister also invited his Russian counterpart to visit Israel.
