Saudi Arabian foreign minister declines alleged talks with Iran via proxy

Saudi Arabian foreign minister Adel al-Jubier stated on Twitter, that the claims made by Iran, claiming the Saudi Arabian kingdom tried to establish talks via other countries, is not accurate.

"What happened was that sister countries sought to calm the situation," said al-Jubier, "and we told them that the position of the kingdom was to always seek security and stability in the region."

A government spokesman of the Iranian government claimed on Monday, that Saudi Arabia tried to establish connections with the Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani, enlisting the help of other countries.
