Man seriously hurt in shooting incident in Lod

A Lod resident in his 30s is in serious condition after he was shot in the center of the city Monday evening. He was taken by family members to a local police station, where officers delivered first aid treatment and evacuated him to hospital.

An initial police investigation revealed that the man was shot while standing outside a community center in central Lod. Police are investigating the possibility that the victim had been shot in a case of mistaken identity.
