Ashkelon parents arrested for suspected child abuse

A man and a woman from Ashkelon have been arrested on suspicion of physically abusing their 11-month-old daughter.
The pair, both aged 22, were detained after their daughter was taken by a relative and a neighbor to the city's Barzilai Hospital with a fractured skull.
The baby, who is in serious condition, was later moved to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva for further treatment.
