Blue and White 'quartet' to meet on Gantz mandate to form coalition

The four most senior members of the Blue and White party - MKs Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid, Moshe Ya'alon and Gabi Ashkenazi - met Wednesday to formulate a position ahead of President Reuven Rivlin tasking Gantz with forming the next government.

Gantz was to receive the mandate Wednesday evening after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to do so within the 28-day period alloted to him.
