Sderot mayor urges government to launch large-scale military operation in Gaza

Alon Davidi, mayor of the southern town of Sderot, urged the government on Saturday to launch a large-scale military operation in Gaza and liquidate the leadership of Hamas.
"We have been living in this reality for close to two years, and a wide scale military operation in Gaza, including the assassination of Hamas leaders, has been a long time coming," Davidi said.
His remarks come after a house in Sderot suffered a direct hit from a Gaza rocket on Friday evening.
