Police arrests suspects in online pedophilia ring

During the long and covert investigation by the police's cyber unit, a police woman went undercover in various internet chatrooms, presenting herself as a 13-year-old girl.

The suspects contacted her with various lewd requests and asked her to perform sexual acts in front of a webcam.

Several of the arrestees, aged 20 to 70, have already been charged in the past for similar offenses and some are in the middle of similar court hearings.

The suspects were brought in on Monday morning for remand at Haifa Magistrate's Court.
