Britain's Conservative Party suspends candidate who made anti-Semitic, Islamophoic comments

Britain's Conservative Party suspended a candidate in the Dec. 12 general election for anti-Semititic, Islamophobic and homophobic comments he made in the past, the British media reported.

Ryan Houghton, who is standing in the Scottish constituency of Aberdeen North, said in comments posted online in 2012 that some of the history of the Holocaust was "fabricated" and that Muslim families in Europe had many children in order to create "Eurabia." He also said that that he did not understand how homosexuality was good for the human race.

"The Scottish Conservatives deplore all forms of Islamophobia, homophobia and anti-Semitism," the party said in a statement, according to the Evening Standard newspaper.
