U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan held separate talks with a Hizbullah cabinet minister in Beirut on Monday during a visit to Lebanon to shore up a truce between Israel and Hizbullah, a Lebanese official said.
The official, who asked not to be identified, said Annan was meeting Energy Minister Mohammed Fneish, who is also a senior official of the Shi'ite Muslim group, at the office of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora in Beirut. (Reuters)
