The UN-African Union representative in Darfur says a helicopter that landed in the wrong place has been recovered with all the passengers and crew except the Russian pilot.
Ibrahim Gambari said the helicopter assigned to the UN-AU peacekeeping force disappeared Monday while transporting rebel group members negotiating a peace deal with the government to locations in South Darfur. Early Tuesday, he said, peacekeepers made contact with three of the four crew on the Russian-owned helicopter. (AP)
