Ahmadinejad says will not intervene for release of other US captives

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in an interview with American television network NBC that he does not intend to intervene for the release of two Americans imprisoned in his country even though their friend Sarah Shroud was released Tuesday.

"They will have to prove that they did not commit any crime," said Ahmadinejad in the interview. "The judge and the courts will have to decide on this case." The three Americans were arrested more than a year and a half ago on the border between Iraq and Iran. Tehran has charged them with espionage. (Dudi Cohen)
