Hezbollah blames US for 'terrorist crime' in Damascus

Hezbollah on Friday accused the United States of being behind the bombing in Damascus. “This terrorist crime targeting the heart of the Syrian capital was meant to punish Syria for standing by the resistance (Hezbollah) against the Zionist enemy (Israel),” a statement by Hezbollah said.

The group also claimed the bombings aimed to compensate for the United States’ “humiliating withdrawal” from Iraq. (AFP)
