Dolce & Gabbana to open store in Israel
Prestigious fashion company to open its first store in Tel Aviv within the coming year
The high-end Italian fashion chain Dolce & Gabbana will be opening its first store in Israel, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported on Sunday.
The store is set to open in the coming year in Tel Aviv.
Up until now, D&G has been operating in Israel via importers and its products have been sold in several different stores.
Recently purchasing exclusive marketing rights for the D&G brand name, Irani Group has become the company's first official franchise owner in Israel.
D&G products will now be marketed in the Irani Group's Factory 54 clothing chain and other stores owned by the company.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the group, which also holds exclusive rights over Diesel, Levi's, Chevignon and Miss Sixty, is looking into the possibility of issuing shares in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
The group's sales for 2006 brought in an estimated NIS 300 million (about $73.7 million).
