Crocs to open 6 new stores
Crocs Israel signs deal with Azrieli Group to expand within its malls spread throughout the country
Crocs Israel has signed a deal with the Azrieli Group agreeing on the opening of six additional stores in its malls throughout Israel.
The stores, to open in Ayalon Mall in Ramat Gan, Malha in Jerusalem, Haifa, Hod Hasharon, Modi'in, and Or Yehuda, have been estimated at a cost of around $1.6 million.
The new additions will bring the total of Crocs stores up to 34, all of them owned by the Israeli franchise rights-holder.
CEO of the Azrieli Group, Pe'er Nadir, told Mamon Magazine, "Our strategy is to cooperate with chains owning international labels spread throughout our malls."
By the end of 2010 the chain, which was established just two years ago, hopes to see 40 stores in Israel. Most of these opened in the past year, despite rumors of the international Crocs chain's demise due to the global economic crisis.
Crocs Israel said in response to the rumors that "the traditional Crocs are a standard product with a stable demand, and sales in Israel have not been damaged."
