Knesset Member Effi Eitam, head of the Religious Zionist faction, said protesters who poured oil and nails on Highway 1 Wednesday played into the hands of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and did damage to the "legitimate" anti-disengagement struggle. "The people who did this do not represent our path, or the vast majority of non-violent opponents of disengagement," he said. (Ilan Marciano)
