AGBR purchases system developed by Israeli software corporation to synchronize data with 1SYNC data pool
American grocery distributor Associated Grocers of Baton Rouge (AGBR) purchased a system developed by Israeli software corporation Retalix to synchronize its data with the 1SYNC data pool.
Using the Israeli company's system, the American wholesaler will be able to receive a data pool of products from 1SYNC, the leading data pool in the United States, and integrate it in Retalix systems which the company uses to manage its supply chain.
Electronic data synchronization saves on the manual processing of catalogued data, reduces paperwork, increases quality and verifies data received from suppliers, minimizes errors, synchronizes data among different databases and cuts down the time it takes for new products to reach the market.
AGBR is an independent grocery wholesaler serving more than 300 retailers in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, and Arkansas. In addition to goods for sale, AGBR provides the retailers with data management technology and related services.
Retalix, which develops and markets application solutions for retailers and wholesalers, employs more than 1,300 people in Israel, the U.S. and local satellite offices around the globe. Its headquarters are located in the city of Ra'anana, north of Tel Aviv, and its U.S. branch is located near Dallas, Texas.
