Pull and Bear: 2 new stores in Tel Aviv

Approximately NIS 4.7 million invested in new flagship stores; fashion chain's sales turnover in 2005 amounts to NIS 60 million

The Pull and Bear fashion chain recently opened two new flagships stores in Tel Aviv: One in Dizengoff Center and the other in the Azrieli Mall. Approximately NIS 4.7 million (about USD 1.05 million) were invested in the new stores, which join the chain's 12 stores across the country.

Eli Kedar, CEO of Pull and Bear in Israel, said that "during the past year we have been using a strategy of store differentiation, while opening new independent stores in the best locations in shopping centers."

"Pull and Bear began its way with a store-in-store strategy, and we are now proud to open independent stores," he added.

The chain presented a sales turnover of approximately NIS 60 million (about USD 13.4 million) in 2005. Today the Pull and Bear chain has 11 independent stores in shopping centers and another three stores in the Mashbir Lazarchan chain through store-in-store method.

Pull and Bear was first introduced into the Israeli market in 1999 under an exclusive franchise of the Mashbir Lazarchan chain. In February 2003, Africa-Israel Investments was granted the franchise to operate the chain.
